Latest U.N. “climate change” fearmongering scheme claims earth will reach “tipping point” by 2030

Monday, October 15, 2018 by

Here we go again: The U.N. has just released another climate change scare report claiming this time that if we don’t ‘act’ by 2030 – just a dozen years – climate change will reach a “tipping point” and everyone on earth will be doomed to die a horrible, agonizing death.

And of course, the “establishment” media dutifully reported the latest report hoax without so much as questioning why the “experts” keep getting their doomsday date wrong.

Stop us if you’ve heard this before. CNN reported:

Governments around the world must take “rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society” to avoid disastrous levels of global warming, says a stark new report from the global scientific authority on climate change.

The report issued Monday by the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), says the planet will reach the crucial threshold of 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) above pre-industrial levels by as early as 2030, precipitating the risk of extreme drought, wildfires, floods and food shortages for hundreds of millions of people.

The date, which falls well within the lifetime of many people alive today, is based on current levels of greenhouse gas emissions.

That part about falling “well within the lifetime of many people alive today” was a good touch for CNN, don’t you think? Kind of helps sell the “urgency” of the situation, doesn’t it, just like mentioning that we’re “already two-thirds of the way there” since temps have already warmed by 1 degree C.

“This is concerning because we know there are so many more problems if we exceed 1.5 degrees C global warming, including more heatwaves and hot summers, greater sea level rise, and, for many parts of the world, worse droughts and rainfall extremes,” said Andrew King, a climate science ‘lecturer’ at the University of Melbourne.

“The window on keeping global warming below 1.5 degrees C is closing rapidly and the current emissions pledges made by signatories to the Paris Agreement do not add up to us achieving that goal,” he added.

So what’s the solution? Why, giving more control over our lives to Leftist global bodies like the United Nations, as well as political power to Democrats, naturally. That is, after we nasty conservatives first apologize for being “deniers.” Maybe if we do that – just maybe – the Left will let us live.

Groan. (Related: UN official actually ADMITS that ‘global warming’ is a scam designed to ‘change world’s economic model’.)

Polar bears are still around

This latest prediction comes on the heels of several others, including the – dare we say it? – heated claim by hoaxer-in-chief Al Gore, who’s 2006 ‘documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth,” made a host of dire predictions that never have come true, as Natural News reported:

In the 2006 film, Gore made a number of wild claims regarding what we could expect to see happening over the next few years due to global warming, but virtually all of his alarmist prognostications have turned out to be false.

Such as, the Arctic would be long gone by now as well as all polar bears (false and false). Oh, and the prediction that sea levels would rise so much that large coastal cities all around the world would be under water.

The film also predicted regular extreme weather, and while we do continue to have weather events like tornadoes and hurricanes, they aren’t out of the ordinary. In fact, we’re having fewer hurricanes and massive storm events.

But Gore hasn’t been the only Left-wing lunatic to claim that human activities are causing the climate to change and that if we don’t ‘do something,’ the world will end — and they’ve ‘known’ this since 1970, when the first Earth Day was observed:

— George Wald, a Harvard biologist, estimated then that “civilization will end within 15 or 20 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind” (‘mankind’ – how sexist!).

Wrong.

— The day after the first Earth Day, a New York Times editorial warned, “Man, must stop pollution and conserve his resources, not merely to enhance existence but to save the race from intolerable deterioration and possible extinction.”

Wrong.

— “We are in an environmental crisis which threatens the survival of this nation, and of the world as a suitable place of human habitation,” Washington University biologist Barry Commoner wrote in the Earth Day issue of the scholarly journal Environment.

Nope.

— “Most of the people who are going to die in the greatest cataclysm in the history of man have already been born,” Paul Ehrlich said in a 1969 essay titled “Eco-Catastrophe! “By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.”

Untrue.

Other “scholars” predicted a similar fate for humankind and Mother Earth, none of which have come true. In fact, the effects of ‘climate change’ have even changed. In the mid-to-late 1970s, scientists were warning about global cooling and “the next Ice Age.”

In an interview with “60 Minutes,” correspondent Leslie Stahl tried to play climate change ‘gotcha’ with POTUS Donald Trump, who never minced a single word. When asked about it, he responded:

“I don’t know that it’s manmade. I will say this: I don’t want to give trillions and trillions of dollars. I don’t want to lose millions and millions of jobs. … I’m not denying climate change, But it could very well go back. You know, we’re talking about over a … millions of years.”

Exactly, Mr. President.
