If a fleet of alien spaceships were to visit earth and start destroying our entire planet, the liberals would no doubt blame Donald Trump. Why? Because the President gets blamed for everything and anything, even when the things that he gets blamed for have absolutely nothing to do with his policies or his agenda.
Earlier this week, political commentator and left-wing zealot Chelsea Handler took to Twitter to blame President Trump for the wildfires that are currently sweeping through Los Angeles. “Just evacuated my house,” she wrote. “It’s like Donald Trump is setting the world on fire. Literally and figuratively. Stay safe everyone. Dark times.” (Related: Experts say that the California wildfires were caused by irresponsible development more than weather.)
Let’s address this on multiple levels. First and foremost, Donald Trump is not literally setting the world on fire. It’s not as if Trump grabbed a match and a gallon of gasoline, traveled to Los Angeles and then set the blaze himself – that’s ridiculous, and the fact that Chelsea Handler would even make such a stupid comment in the first place is a testament to her lack of intelligence. Second, President Trump isn’t setting the world on fire figuratively either. The economy is growing with each passing week, investor confidence is on the rise, and on top of all that, we are finally demonstrating to the rest of the world that America’s military is a force to be reckoned with.
Perhaps Chelsea Handler was confusing President Trump with Barack Obama, who really did set the world on fire with his weak foreign policy and his inability to understand even the most basic of economic principles.
But Donald Trump is the enemy of the left, not Barack Obama, and that means that the liberals have to use every single argument and talking point at their disposal to take him down, even if it means breaking away from reality.
When Hurricane Harvey hit the gulf coast, for example, some leftists didn’t hesitate to blame the natural disaster on Donald Trump, apparently forgetting or ignoring the fact that human beings can’t possibly have that much control over the weather. One of these leftists was Times reporter Yamiche Alcindor, who wrote back in August that the “unleashing of the fossil energy sector that Mr. Trump has championed could have repercussions more immediate than the global climate. In Houston, predominantly African-American neighborhoods like Sunnyside and Pleasantville have been dealing with pollution from the energy sector for years.” (Related: The liberals have absolutely lost their minds over Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord.)
So in other words, not only did Donald Trump contribute to Hurricane Harvey because of his environmental policies, but he’s also a racist. Got it.
Sadly, Alcindor wasn’t finished. In an appearance on MSNBC, she went on to elaborate on the piece that she wrote for the Times, arguing that “middle class and poor people would be some of the first people hurt by climate change” and that scientists say that “these hurricanes are getting worse and worse.” Then she said something about poor people voting for Donald Trump, and how these are the same people who are not equipped to handle the natural disasters caused by climate change. It really was a poor and nonsensical argument, to be honest, but it goes to show that once again, the liberals are prepared to point the finger at Trump every chance they get.
The fact of the matter is that President Trump is a significant threat to the left’s agenda, and so they have no problem with linking him to everything bad and negative in nature, even if the argument as a whole doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. It really is pathetic when you think about it, but liberals will be liberals. Find more examples of utter stupidity on parade at STUPID.news.
